Maintenance of Dessol products
The lifespan of the products is highly dependent on how the system is maintained. Because of the increasing air pollution, the appearance of the awning can lose its glance. Therefore it is appropriate to clean your outdoor awnings to guarantee the longevity.
Periodic cleaning will prevent that the existing chemical substances, coming from the air, will have a negative effect on the surface.
Important guidelines for cleaning and maintaining your awning

|
|
-
It is strongly recommended that the awning is checked at least once a year to check on performance and possible damage.
-
The extruded aluminum sections of the outdoor awnings should be cleaned regularly.
-
It is not recommended to smear the mechanical components of the awning. This makes it only easier attracting dirt.
-
The aluminum must be cleaned with a neutral, non-aggressive cleaning product. Avoid cleansers with a pH of 7.5 and more.
-
Do not use abrasive cleaners! Never let acidic cleaning products and abrasives come in contact with the awning if you are cleaning your windows and facade.
-
Are the aluminum parts of the awning heavily polluted? Use a pressure washer. Make sure that the water is only oriented to the aluminum parts and not directly on the mechanics

Cleaning the fabric and plate
 |
|
In general
You can make the dry fabric dust-free by blowing away, knocking, brushing or vacuuming. Dust and dirt should be brushed regularly dry. Heavily polluted sun protection fabrics or aluminum parts can be cleaned with a pressure washer. Make sure that the water is oriented at a sufficient distance and only on the canvas or the slats and not on the mechanics.
Remove fingerprints and grease
To remove fingerprints and grease stains, use a clean cloth with a mild detergent.
Removing Water Stains
You make the fabric wet and rub it with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use soap products.
